"Anchoring" Titles Timeline in VS Pro X7

Post by DayO »

I have created a videotape of slides (90, 5:00 minute total duration) in VS Pro X7, with an added slide Titling timeline.

Now I want to change the duration of each slide from 3:00 minutes to 4:00 minutes.

How can I "anchor" the Title timeline so that it doesn't overlap into the next slide, so all the Titles can stay synchronized, as I
adjust the time duration of each slide?

turn on "Ripple editing" by closing the relevant padlocks at the very left hand end of the timeline - this should keep everything locked together

you can adjust the duration of all photos at the same time - select the first one - - go to the last one hold down 'Shift' as you select it - all should now be selected. RIGHT click ove the selected block and choose 'Change Photo Duration' set the new time in the boxes

Whoops! The "Ripple editing" icon on the Title Timeline doesn't appear as selectable/bold, with the Title Timeline selected....

Hi

I am afraid Change Photo Duration does not work with ripple editing.
You would have to change the photo durations then manually adjust the titles positions.
You say changing the duration from 3 minutes to 4 minutes, is that a typo and Seconds was intended?

Yes, it's actually 3 to 4 seconds, correct!

And I did discover that Ripple editing doesn't work for my needs.

So I manually and laboriously changed the duration for both photos and titles--but it was worth it, as the video
was well-received at a memorial service today for a loved one...

Kudos to you all for your informed assistance.
