Video Studio X9 and fading in and out clips

Post by mmreed »

I came from Sony Movie Studio and in that you could create a fade in or fade out of a clip, image, audio etc.

I cannot find how to do this in Corel. I want to place an image and have it fade in from the start. Then fade out after the image duration time.

Use transitions with perhaps addition of black color images to achieve this in VS.

also, right click video clip for Customise Motion, has many options including a transparency.
You have to set keyframes.

The image Asik shows is a good option, the effect defaults to 33% fade in 33% Pause 33% fade out.
The time depends on the clip duration, for example a 3 minute clip will have a 1 minute fade.
Change the pause durations below the preview screen, (blue bar)
