Support for Pentax K-1
Any idea when the Pentax K-1 PEF files will be supported? The camera is new to the market, but it's selling very fast. There are PEF samples available on the net.

Re: Support for Pentax K-1
At this time it won't even work with PEF files from my Pentax K-3!!! After reading through the various threads for AfterShot Pro 3 I'd say they released it WAY too early.

I'm surprised it's taken so long. Did ASP Pro 2 work with K-3 PEF files?kkoether wrote:At this time it won't even work with PEF files from my Pentax K-3!!! After reading through the various threads for AfterShot Pro 3 I'd say they released it WAY too early.

I've tried the Silkypix software that comes with the camera and also Elements. I suppose I should try Lightroom. But I don't really want to. Ah well.
Richard.

ASP Pro 2 DOES work with K-3 PEF's. Someone dropped the ball with ASP Pro 3.

Re: Support for Pentax K-1
It's been two months now and still no support for the Pentax K-1, neither PEF nor DNG. Is anyone from Corel interested in ASP?

Re: Support for Pentax K-1
In the past, Bibble and Corel have added new camera models quite quickly - days not weeks. So I raised a support ticket to ask what's going on. My interpretation of the response (see below) is that they are no longer interested in Pentax. I would suggest that the appropriate response from Pentax users should be that we are no longer interested in Corel or ASP.
The first email I got from support said to check the list of supported cameras. Are they so stupendously dumb that they think someone saying that a camera wasn't supported wouldn't have checked the list already? Based on many years experience with "support", this is the sort of response you get when they aren't interested in your problem and just want you to go away. Zero out of 10, Corel.
Here's the text of the email:
Thank you for contacting Corel Technical Support.
I understand where you are coming from and I'm sorry for you are getting frustrated regarding this case.
Regarding your concern, I regret to let you know that there's no definite timeline as to when the support update for this particular model would be release. All I can advise is for you to regularly check Corel Website and Aftershot Pro 3 section.
Should you have other queries unrelated to this case, feel free to create a new ticket case and we will be glad to further assist you.
Otherwise please let me know and advise if I can now be able to close this ticket.
Thanks for choosing Corel products.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any further questions.
That doesn't really give me a lot of incentive to stick with ASP.

Re: Support for Pentax K-1
Are K-3 and K-1 DNG files supported? If so, what about files that use Pixel Shift mode?

Re: Support for Pentax K-1
Pixel Shift I believe is only supported right now with Pentax software. Same with the Canon 5D4... only Canon software to work with it.
I don't have a Pentax, but the camera's reviews have been stellar. To not support them just forces people to Adobe... just what you need.. lose potential customers.
I like the "Thanks for choosing Corel products"....
