After Shot Pro 3 - Images disappear

I just upgraded to Aftershot 3, thinking it would be great. (except that there is no actual upgrade discount, since the full price "special" and upgrade price are the same..).

It's actually taking more time to edit photos with 3. When I switch frames (either using keyboard or clicky with mouse), I see the image for a fraction of a second, then i get the "No Image Available".. uggh. If I move the mouse over the "image not available" area, the image appears. this nonsense takes more time to go through photos than version 2!!! what's going on?





Not sure what Corel is doing, I had a miserable experience with the recent upgrade to CorelDraw as well, and it's unusable. As far as I know that issue is still unresolved. I'm now stuck paying for two upgrades from these guys and must use the previous version because I need to actually get some work done.

On a hunch I thought just maybe ASP3 did not like the fact that my images were on a network drive.

So I copied all the images to a local drive. This did not help.

As a final shot at this I copied the images to my boot SSD drive. For a few seconds there it seemed to make a difference. I hit the number 5 (rating the image) and then the down arrow to move to the next image with as much speed as I could manage. Perfect. All 30 images got rated.

I then selected an image I tried to alter its exposure.....

The preview image disappeared the second I moved the slider.

I cannot believe how rubbish this software is. I cannot believe they sold it like this. But most of all I can't believe i bought it.

yeah so far i'm not happy either, but i hope it gets straightened out. I pay for two subscriptions for a competitor's software but don't use the photo aspect of it because corel's workflow is much more intuitive in my opinion. It would be great if the new version of AS3 and CorelDraw was working, because alot of the work I do could be improved, based on the sales copy I've read. I'd like to use the new versions.

Same problem here with Mac OS-X 10.11.4 "El Capitan"
images disappear spontaneously during edit.
Switch to a different picture, then image visible again.
But sometimes images not editable, sliders have no influence.
Then AfterShotPro 3 I need to restart.
This influenced very strongly the work flow.
For me, it is unacceptable to upgrade and pay for these unresolved bugs.
Aftershot is a nice product, but with these bugs is not recommended.
I hope that Corel here something can do.

I can confirm the same issues.
ASP 3.0, seems to work fine for a while then I get 'no preview available'. I also noticed that there's no histogram either, just before I get the no preview error.
I also randomly get the same problems exporting files - the whole batch comes back with an error and nothing is saved. Restarting fixes.

I'm running on Windows 10. My RAW files are .CR2

Very, very disappointing Corel - ASP 2 worked faultlessly so I didn't hesitate in upgrading. I'm considering going back to ASP 2 until these issues are worked out.

Experiencing the same issues here:

• Spontaneous crashes when clicking folder containing images.
• "No image available" showing up.
• Furthermore the "Get more" area is not working under Linux.
• There is no such feature as a "New Image Preset Libary" shown on the sales screenshots.

This has been very disappointing! I really like the idea of AfterShot Pro on Linux, but I have to get a refund in this case. Cannot stand paying 69,99 EUR for this ****up.

I can verify that I have the same problem. I have a complaint ticket (#3637509). I filed it on May12 , as of today (May17) I have no help. They sent a request for screenshots (I think they use this to delay things, since it's pretty obvious what 'no image' means) but so far no real focus on solving the problem.

We appear to be beta testers, but who's explaining that to my clients???????

I have a support ticket too.. I sent them a link to this forum thread and told them that many users are having the same problem.

I also suggested that someone from Corel responds on this thread with an update. No response yet it seems.

I'm sure they are all too well aware of what the issue is. Just would be nice to know when they think it will be fixed.

Good for you.. My PC gets turned off every day. Every day this week I have opened ASP3 and tried it and every day it is still broken.

Let us know if it breaks again.

Does the number of images matter ? I'm trying to reproduce it on my system, and it seems to work OK.
I have a test folder with a dozen images or so. I rated one with 5 stars. I then clicked the filter button, clicked the check box for Rating, set the drop down box to "More than or Equals" and highlighted 5 stars. All the other thumbnails disappeared and left only the one with the 5 star rating. I then selected that image, and it displays OK. Its a Sony raw image (.ARW)
