x8 question. locking up.

OK against my better judgment I downloaded the trial of PSPx8.

First half hour of 'playing' I hit a snag.

110meg tiff. (Same computer I've been using x7 on since x7 was released).

Adjustment/ Hue Saturation/ Hue Saturation Lightness. I use this all the time on x7. With x8 I'm getting a computer lock up. PSPx8 freezes. Nothing works at all. I can go to another program but x8 won't respond. If I leave it for a minute or two then it wakes up. But every adjustment takes another minute plus to perform.

Anyone else having this issue?

An update.
I have built my own menu with all my favourite adjustments. Including Hue Saturation. When I use Hue Saturation from my custom menu it works fine. From the standard menu it takes forever.

Do you have the same issues with a smaller image. ie is it an image size problem?
In absence of image size I just saved a 21 Mp (5616 x 3744 pixel ) jpg image as a tif and it reached 31 Mb in size. So it seems that your image may be very large.

Er ah hum. The issue is that I work with large files. Often up around 4-500 meg. So if it can't handle a 110meg file I have a problem. And yes a small file still had the same issue.
I haven't had time to finish testing. But as I pointed out, the custom menu approach, works ok. So I have a work around but something is up with the standard approach.
I have now worked through 'Preferences' so that my make a difference. I'll see when I have time to get back to it.
