VideoStudio Pro Ultimate x9 trial on windows 7 - 64bit

Just brought a new windows 7 prof desktop after using VS Pro X4 for many years on old XP desktop.
Tried to use X4 on my new machine but would not start up after installation. I thought I would try the X9 trial
This starts up ok but I cannot hear any sound from my video files. Sound 'connection' must be ok as .mp3 files play on VS x9 ok.
I am using files from several cameras.
File properties are : *.MTS files
Video Type H.264 - 24bit 1920x1080 16.9
Audio : dolby digital - 48000Hz Bit rate: 256 kbps

These played ok on VS x4 on my XP desktop. Is the trial copy limited and cannot play DD sound?

Yes - you hit it in one - the trial version is severely crippled and there are many things it cannot do .

but rest assured that the full version of X9 plays and edits all my .MTS files with no problems at all
