FYI:
From Yahoo News: While some PC users updated to Windows 10 the moment it became available, others will stick with earlier versions for as long as possible. For the horde still clinging on to Windows 7, there’s a new glitch to keep an eye out for — but it only seems to affect certain Asus motherboards.

An update titled KB3133977 can potentially trigger a “secure boot violation” during startup, according to a report from The Register. This prevents the computer from loading its OS, rendering it rather useless.
I have already hidden this update.

Just another good reason to disable updates.

Hi pepegota

Thanks for the thumbs up on this one .....If your pc booted ok why uninstall that update as clearly it did not affect your pc?

Some more info.

I have just performed a PC reset back to a Disc Image, at the moment Windows updates are playing catch up, so will keep an eye open for that update......

I hid this update before installing it. This I highly recommend. I do not want to gamble with two Asus PC's.
We are between the Devil & the Deep Blue Sea. We need the updates, some of them, but Microsoft forces
them all upon us with impunity. There is a Microsoft Utility that enables you to hide them. Google "wushowhide.diagcab."
However, when the big update comes this summer, God knows what will happen to your computer. Hail Mary!! We need a MS revolt to
gives us back our freedom to choose, but that will never happen.
Having to verify updates is time consuming and a pain in the a--, but I cannot accept updates wildly.
