Does anyone know of a technique to have a perfect circle, flat color, and then have a thick line, like a stroke, start at 0% upper left side of outside of circle, and then begin to "grow" as it increases in length around the outside edge of the circle? Like from 0% to 75%
I havent figured out how to animate anything in a circle... or even make a circle shape, for that matter... I can make lines and blocks all day long...
any help would be appreciated
animate a line going around outside of a perfect circle?

Re: animate a line going around outside of a perfect circle?
thank you for that, but in this particular case, those arent going to work. In the first place, it looks as if the max size is 128x128 and the circles I need are much larger.
also, I need to be able to control the growth, have it start at a certain point, and then stop and hold, instead of repeating the animation.
However the suggestion is interesting. Is the only solution here to build this animation in something like photoshop and then create a big gif and then import this onto my timeline?
there is no way to do this in Corel Video Studio?

VS do not do coffee also but here what you do
you needs to apply the drop shadow BEFORE apply the full duration wipe.
As there is no access to FX menu after that.

OK so you have a transparent circle with a red stroke as a .png.
and then a wipe applied to the red circle? What is the wipe effect? I cant tell from the jpg
thanks for the idea

Re: animate a line going around outside of a perfect circle?
it works.. but only if the circle is in the exact center of the frame. In my case, its not. The circle is over to the left of the frame and therefore the wipe doesnt quite work, because the wipe works from the exact center of the frame... I think. Is there anyway to force the wipe to begin at a different location than exact center?

well VS cant do tea also but it can do that
Save that setup as VSP, reload it to the library (or render and save as a clip)
drag it to an overlay and now the sky is the limit,

I rendered it as a separate clip and gave it a bright red background, then imported it into my scene and used chroma key to get rid of the bright red background. Client seemed to like it. Thanks for your help!
