OK, I've read the supporting help and I don't see a way to fire-up the RAW Edit Tool once I have a RAW in the Edit View.
Any tips on how to do this?

I don't think you can get a raw image into the edit space without it automatically opening the Camera Raw Lab. So it does not need to be "fired up".
I suspect you are seeing the raw file in the organiser along the bottom.
1. Double click that raw file and it should open up in the Camera Raw Lab.
2. Or drag the image from the Organiser into the workspace,
3. Or drag the raw file from a windows folder into the Edit space (the method I most use with all my files).
Each of these will open in Camera Raw Lab.

Go to Preferences/File format preferences and there you can choose to open a file either in the Camera Raw Lab or just as normal editing. If you open in the latter, do some editing and then try to save, you can only save in a format different than your RAW format. You can decide which works better for you.
