Where is the "Edit with External Editor button" ???

Post by Franz Dur »

Hello,

I use ASP2 Pro 2.4. on Windows 10 64 bits

Here: http://blog.paintshoppro.com/aftershot- ... photoshop/ it says
Other Updates in AfterShot Pro 2.3/ Improvements /New external editor button on toolbar:

To set an external editor for the toolbar button, click the Edit with External Editor ASP 2.3_3 button on the top toolbar, choose a photo-editing application from the Editor drop-list, choose the settings you want, and click OK. The button displays the application icon.
To change editor settings, click File > Preferences, and click External Editor.
Did anyone locate this button (an upward arrow supposedly in the Toolbar) ??

It is a pain to be forced to go first to the Files/Settings to choose the external editor in the drop down list before using CTRL E to call for it.

I have defined my external editor in the preferences (Mac version) and the icon appears in the top tool bar next to the filter button.

Thank you Steve,

In fact I have the same...

What I was hoping for is that a click on this icon would open the drop down list of the different external editors that I have defined under preferences. Or that the different icons would be displayed side by side, there is enough space.

As is, the icon only doubles for CTRL E, but if I want Viveza instead of Color Efex I have to travel to Files/Preferences/External editor, a waste of time. Perhaps I will try to set up presets for each of the external editors. A bit akward.

I have the exact same problem. The manual says one thing and the software doesn't work that way.
