I am trying to create a web page using 3 columns. The outer two columns
would be navigation bars. When you click on a link in either of these two colums I would like the page to open in the middle column. Is this possible in PI 10?
Also, I have been reading in the forum that you can open your code in notepad and manually enter more code. How do you do this? When I save my page as html there is not text file generated.
Thank you
Dennae

I guess you have a lot to learn yet. Don't you think it's asking a bit much of the friendly people here to teach you the basics of html? There are proper classes for that you know.
You stated that your program did not create a text file
What do you think is the html file generated? You may have guessed it by now, it's your text file. That is interpreted by the browser to display your page. Open the html in Notepad and you will see. Once you see the jargon used there, you may even appreciate why I personally, others may not, object to spending my time trying to teach you html.
No offence intended.

Opening HTML in notepad
Hello:
Thank you for your responce. No offence taken, I am a newbie at this and did not mean to waste anyones time. I have been spending a lot of time reading up on html and have found lots of useful codes to use. I have not been able to figure out how to put them into PI. I will keep trying.
Thanks again for your time

You are very welcome. Keep in mind though, PI is primarily a program to work with images and graphics, it's not really a web design tool, although it has some capabilities in this area. Then again, so has MS WORD, but I don't know anyone using WORD for their web site creation.
Web pages rely heavily on graphics and images and hence the ability to do some impressive work in PI. You need to have a good grasp of html though. There are a lot easier programs around to benefit a user like yourself, WYSIWYG editors, where you design your page in a graphic environment. you just lay out the page visually and the program generates the respective html automatically. Just google for WYSIWYG and take your pick.

HTML Code in PI
You are probably right about that. I love the visual creativity of PI and aside from the html issue have been able to make it do exactly what I want it to do. I should have my page uploaded in about a week. The address is.

Check it out. I will look at WYSIWYG.
Thank you again
