How do I move my catalog to a new drive

How do I move my catalog to a new drive
I am using ASP 2 on Windows 7, with the catalog stored on the system drive. I added a second drive and tried moving the whole of My Pictures to the new drive, but the ASP catalogs could not find the images. I was able to move My Pictures back to the system drive and recover catalog functionality, but am not at all sure how to move the files and keep the catalogs working. Will movable paths work? The help file explanation says that movable paths doesn't change how the main computer accesses the files, but that is just what I want to change. Any help is greatly appreciated.
