New Blue Essentials III missing from FX dropdown menu
Hi
I'm running VSP Ultimate X9.
I note others in the forum have an FX name Auto-contrast under Essentials III. I'm wondering if I'm missing a few FX filters as when I go to FX and select the dropdown menu, I note I am completely missing New Blue Essentials III
Essentials VI is also missing.
So I have I, II, IV, V, VII

Hi Phil,
Essentials VI is not part of Video Studio and I don't think Esentials III is either, many of us members do have the complete Essentials packages which we just install with each version of VS
hence the reference to filters which you may not have installed, also some of the other packages installed as part of the program, are not complete sets

Hi
As far as I know this is the full list provided by the program
Although there is an additional NewBlue Film effect provided free with your purchase.
I do not have NB III
Are you sure that this has not been purchased from New Blue as a separate package?
Post updated, Robert I missed your post
This is what I see for X9

the legacy 3, 5 and a few others are not included, you need to purchase them, or individual ones.
Make sure you get the variant for 64 bit for Corel if you have 64 bit VS installed.
Even than you may need to manually copy over to the correct location in the installed plug in directories of VS,
as the newblue installer sw's steering files are a few years behind with the correct paths where to install the plugins in VS due to the yearly upgrade versions of VS...

Re: New Blue Essentials III missing from FX dropdown menu
Purchasing New Blue Filters for VS is no longer an option, more than a year ago, New Blue discontinued providing the Legacy Essentials Packages and all their other filters for the lower end of the NLE market. New Blue can now only be purchased for the professional market like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Sony Vegas and others.bitman wrote:the legacy 3, 5 and a few others are not included, you need to purchase them, or individual ones.

Re: New Blue Essentials III missing from FX dropdown menu
indeed, I keep installing the legacy Newblue manually I had from a few years back with each new installed VS version.
I recall there is a link somewhere on this forum to download a few updated legacy packages to 64 bit for VS by newblue.
But I guess you must own the serials to get rid of the watermarks.

Re: New Blue Essentials III missing from FX dropdown menu
I bought many NewBlueFX that I installed on my family computer under VS Ultimate X4, X5 and X6. vft and Vfx-plug files appear in Program Files (x86)/Corel/Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X4, X5 and X6. NewBlue appear in the same place AND also in Program/NewBlue. ULead 64 appear in the folders. They all work fine.bitman wrote:the legacy 3, 5 and a few others are not included, you need to purchase them, or individual ones.

Main computer : I don't have Ultimate X4, X5, X6. Ultimate X8 and NewBlue are installed under Program Files (x86), but vft and Vfx_plug files appear under Program/Corel/Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X8. I can't get 3D Explosions Transitions nor Light Effects. These two files are shown, but don't have ULead64 file just like with Essentials III or others. I've tried to copy ULead64 from my family computer to my main and missing vft and Vfx. Nothing is working. Is it possible to have these effects/transitions working under Ultimate X8 ?
I uploaded images to my one drive adress (appearing in my signature below) under Files for all/NewBlueFX. They will appear better than the one below.

Re: New Blue Essentials III missing from FX dropdown menu
Hi JaRo,
If you purchased your versions of New Blue for VSX4/5/6, then they are 32 bit versions and will not work with VSX8 64 bit.
A member has previously posted a link to the 64 bit versions of many New Blue packages, do a search of the forum and you should find the link. Alternatively, contact New Blue and request the 64 bit installers for your owned packages, they will provide them, if available (not all packages were provided with 64 bit versions for Corel)
Edit
Found the link, see if any of these are what you need

All my FX work fine except for Light Effects and 3D Explosion Transitions. I'll probably send a message to Edward T. to have the 64 bit versions for those.

Re: New Blue Essentials III missing from FX dropdown menu
I have somewhat the same problem. Having purchased New Blue's Video Essentials VI (specifically for Chroma Key pro) I cannot get it to load into VS2018.
I don't understand this, since NB Video Essentials I, II, IV, V, and VII all load and display just fine.

Re: New Blue Essentials III missing from FX dropdown menu
Where did you purchase Essentials VI from, have you made sure that the correct installation path has been selected, C:\ProgramFiles\Corel\CorelVideoStudio2018\vft_plug, if you have only just purchased, then I assume you purchased from Corel, you may need to contact support for advice.
Giving this some more thought, If you have successfully installed Essentials VI, even though it is not showing in VS, go to C:\ProgramFiles\NewBlue\ and open the Video Essentials VI for Windows Folder, then open the ULead64 folder, now copy the contents into C:\ProgramFiles\Corel\CorelVideoStudio2018\vft_plug
You should now have Essentials VI available in VS
