Imported clips no soundtrack

Hi,
Just discovered that my video clips from canon 70D DSLR import without soundtrack.. Clips play OK in WinMediaPlayer and other players. Clips from other sources on the same timeline have soundtrack. Only ones from 70D don't. Any ideas? OS Win10, VS Pro -X7, Asus Laptop.

Hi

As far as I know the video is Mov type and may need QuickTime installed to play these correctly.

A lot of issues with QT read this post, a lot of reading with no Corel response or recommendations.

However as far as I know the issues are with Web Browser plugins which are no longer auto installed with the pc player?

Hi,
Thank you for your comment. I have removed QuickTime due to recent security concerns but did not receive any warnings that QT was necessary to open MOV
files. Will try after QT install.
Here is the kicker, though. Corel support replied to my inquiry with a short: "I apologize but your software is discontinued. Because of fast growing of technology and operating system. Please try to post in forums for your question". It is not quite 2 years old yet since its release. Needless to say I am quite disappointed.

Did you try installing QuickTime?

If you can provide a sample of your video, upload to a sharing site, One Drive or Google drive work well.

I will test your video on my pc.

I have Canon 7D DSLR and those play ok, although do need Smart Proxy to smooth playback, pc a little old

Sorry missed the fact that you are using X7

There were a few problems with mov and MP4 video with Corel creating several hot fixes by replacing a DLL file.

This is the last one provided by Corel, I had thought it had been incorporated to the Service Pack.

Can you try replacing the file.

Hi - thank you so much for your help. After installing QT and rebooting, the soundtracks returned to my clips.
Happy camper again.
