CVS X9 dvd burn isues Convert step got some problems[257:0:0

Post by GerOR »

when I try to burn a DVD from mpeg-2 files the quality of the DVD is very poor and the image is pixelated if I try with another file heaviest like MPEG-4 or AVCHD the program just freezes, in another case appearing one dialog box that it says:
Convert step got some problems[257:0:0] anyone knows what that means?
I was worked with CVS x6 and I never had this problems but this CVS x9 is more complicated :!: somebody can tell me
how I have to set up the project properties my camera gives files AVCHD, I set up the project properties in the same format like that and I have no problems to editing. After editing what is the best format to create a file for later make a good quality DVD that can play in HD TV?

Hi

And welcome to the forums

If your original video is AVCHD and you have a HD tv then why are you downscaling to DVD Mpeg2.

Your best option is to create a file same as original properties, then burn to Bluray Disc.
Do you have a Bluray player?

If your TV has USB then you could save the files to memory stick and play on tv.

Please right click one of your original files on the timeline and choose properties. what are they?
Using CVSX9 your project properties should be the same (Alt+ Enter)

Create a screen shot of that window to create a jpeg image to attach to your post,

Downscaling from AVCHD to Mpeg 2 is gonna impact on quality, a lot.

Go to F6 preferences set Resample Quality to best, that may improve quality.
