What are the capabilities of your card, PC spec's? Do you want to edit the captured footage or just burn to DVD/CD?
It all depends.

Not too sure on the card capabilities --
P4 3.0 GHz, 768MB DDR RAM, 80GB HD, 2000 PRO, VS 7
I want to edit the captured footage and/or just burn to DVD.

Without changing any settings, just selecting Genius capture device and plugging a few RCA cables(in the right places) I was able to view the VHS with sound in the VS7 pane.
When I click the capture button al appears OK then 2 seconds later I get an error message to the efect that capturing has failed and the file is probably corrupt - Do you want to save?....
About two to three seconds was captured and appears in the timeline.
This is all I got for now. I hope you can help
