Shout Out to "Simone Corel UK" - Thank you!
Hello people, after several Text chats with Corel; downloading several times and uninstalling and reinstalling; emails where I included screengrabs of the process that that I had to go through, and then finally "Simone Corel UK" identified that my Registry, with the AfterShotPro2 installation, and it coming up as only the STANDARD version of AfterShot2, "Simone Corel UK" had me manually apply my serials, and it worked!

This is an installer bug NOT reporting back that incorrect serials had in fact been installed. All I was seeing was that the installation was successful but on opening up ASP2 what I got was the STANDARD version and a Splash screen of AfterShot2 and no AfterShotPro2 in either the ABOUT section nor the Splash screen on the about.

So, very happy ASP2 Corel-ler here. :D

Looking at where I can add/remove programs in Win7 Pro 64, I see it says I have AfterShot Pro installed, but, looking at the software when ran, it says Standard...
Would love to know how you manually applied your serial numbers.
I looked at my account and I have Pro2 and Standard registered for some reason. The serial number listed for Pro 2 is the one I used and I don't have the Standard serial number.

Hi TonyP - If you re-read my post the solution was to change/edit my Registry, something I would only do with a Safety Net! Open a ticket with Corel to have them escalate this for you.

Cheers

I did. I was sent another download link. I uninstalled what I had, reg cleaned. Installed "new" version sent by Corel. It asked for my serial number and said it was installing Pro 2. Even HDR was being installed and shows up in where you can uninstall programs as AfterShot Pro 2. But, the desktop icon says Aftershot 2. No HDR, no "other features" that Pro is suppose to have over standard.
I even installed the 32bit version with same results.
Another email sent to Corel. I await their reply.

Yeah, it took from 14 April till 22 April, going up through 4 layers of Corel Support escalation till "Simone UK" reached out to me and got me sorted out. So, politely respond to the Support, add screen shots of what you did, I must have sent upwards of 10 of these on combines CHAT and email feedback, until "Simone UK" got to me.

I now have ASP2 working nicely and it IS a revelation. Using ASP2 and the plugs, I've been able to bring back really dark night images of Rhinos at a waterhole in Namibia.

What more can I say?

Hang-in there buddy!

I am always polite and thankful for any help that I can get.
I have sent screen shots of what I have along with what is missing when I try and access where the the features should be.

Curious though... when you start AS Pro 2, does the splash screen actually say AfterShot Pro 2? Looking on Corel's website where they have AS2 and ASP2 "boxes" side by side, my splash screen on starting up is the one for AfterShot 2.

Glad that you got everything working!

Yes, in two places checking the serial number in the license. Told not to uninstall and make the reg change. I did and still have standard version.
