My experience is the same as csh2000's and we've discussed it at length in another thread. I have colour management on, set PSP monitor profile to the calibration profile, image, graphic etc. generated by sRGB Color Space Profile.icm and everything is consistent and stable - no colours jumping around. I don't print from my computer so if I did that I would need to do more adjustments, I'm sure.

Or should i avoid it?
Yes, sadly it is the same problem with SP2. I had the well-known problem with SP1 and had to reinstall without SP1. I've just had to do the same with SP2. Rather unbelievable.

It seems to happen only on W7 and possibly with Nvidia graphics cards, and not all of them. I have a secondary PC with ATI card and it is unaffected. Some people, including Corel, seek to minimise the number affected, but people have given up, reverted to the original (without SP) or wouldn't dream of accepting SP2 after the SP1 problem. So we won't see many of them on this forum....

This issue has not been solved with SP2. Please do not install SP 2 but keep PSP8.0 installed.

SP 2 removed my 32 bit program and crashes with multiple errors of file access denied.

Can't use any 32 bit add ons like Perfectly Clear, but 64 bit still runs.
Lost as to what do expect uninstall everything in X8 Ultimate package and start over.

Well, that's a new one! :-) I have installed both SP1 and SP2 and neither of them did anything with my 32bit version - let alone remove it - which still works fine. However, there is no doubt that the service packs still have issues with some people using the Windows 7 operating system. This is just the first time I've heard of this particular issue with them.

Yes, I would suggest that you use the removal tools available in a sticky thread near the top of this forum and remove everything and then reinstall X8 without the service packs until they get the issues with Windows 7 worked out.

@ to all with the text issue (text is missing in menus) that came with SP 1 and was not solved in SP2:

We have finally nailed down the cause of the issue and released a fix.

For all customers who use PSPX8.0, please follow these steps:

Download SP 2 for PSPX8 from here:
http://www.paintshoppro.com/en/support/ ... duct-tab=0

Download the PSPX8.2_Text-missing.exe
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwT28 ... 3NmNHZ1YkE

1. Install SP 2 for PSPX8
2. Install PSPX8.2_Text-missing.exe

Would I be correct in assuming that there is nothing else in the fix other than the missing text issue and so those of us who don't have that issue should not be installing the fix?

@JoeB

Absolutely, who never had this "no text in menus" issue on Windows 7 64-bit doesn't need to install this fix because there is nothing to fix.
