Hi Brian: Tried the install but got this message.

That is very strange because that message is Corels odd way of telling you that Service Pack 2 is already installed - but if pack 2 is installed then the version number should be 19.2.0.4

perhaps part of the problem with your clips is that your copy of Videostudio has not installed correctly because as I said earlier your clip ran without any problems at all on my computer

Hmm, maybe I'll try uninstalling it and reinstalling? (My order included 2-yr download insurance).

I opened a ticket with Corel, never have tried solving problems directly with them. Will see what happens.

Zoroku - I just read your reply, sorry for delay responding to you. I converted an MPEG-4 to MKV and it played fine, did not crash X9. So for now I can use those files. Thanks so much.

Trevor & Brian:

I got help updating video graphics card and also uninstalled Windows Media Player and reinstalled it and I no longer have black MPEG2 video when played as clips. MPEG4 files from Android cell phone no longer crash VS X9. Also this fixed new issue of pink and green flakes when played.

Only problem remaining is gurgling sounds in audio of MTS files that happens within X9 and not when files are played alone outside of X9 Pro editing. This audio problem also occurs in X8.

I'm going back to the same guy tomorrow who helped me (above). I'll let you know if we find a solution.
