Hello
Using Corel ProX3 the above problem has occurred.
The video is approx. 38 mins long and all the time lines are occupied, the laptop is an Acer Aspire 5590 laptop with 4 gbt of memory and a hard drive of 1000.? every thing was going well until the scrolling curser stopped moving and then disappeared, the movie however continued to play but with the last three lines empty.
Can any one explain and help me to fix the problem.
Thank you
jaysto

Re: Time line cursor has stopped moving
"All the timelines are occupied" - - all 30 of them ? are they all visible onscreen
confirm - does the cursor actually stop before disappearing - or does it just run straight off the right hand side of your screen

Re: Time line cursor has stopped moving
Hello Colin
Th curser remains static and then disappears when i try to get the video moving again.
The corel video software I have is the older version of Pro X3
all time lines were occupied I only appear to have 4 as mentioned in my previous post

Re: Time line cursor has stopped moving
Is this one continuous video clip or are there several pieces in the timeline
does the cursor stop at a specific point in the timeline what is at that point.
does it always stop at the same point
is there anything at all in the overlay - title or sound tracks - does the cursor stop at the end of one of them
what do you do to get the cursor moving again
please confirm that the word "Project" is highlighted and not clip
please confirm that the small inverted triangle in this icon in the bottom left corner of your screen is at the very right hand end of the line and not in the middle

Re: Time line cursor has stopped moving
Colin,
You have almost cracked it, the inverted triangle was in the middle, I have now corrected this and all is well with the exception of the curser, this now travels OK going off at the right end but, only appearing and starting again in the middle of the time line, this is an intermittent, action.
I am of course able to retrieve the curser by clicking on it's time line and sliding it back to the beginning, I trust you can make sense of this.

Re: Time line cursor has stopped moving
that is exactly the procedure which Videostudio is designed to do - it only returns to the mid-point before moving right again - it will only happen if the clips in your timeline are longer than the visible length of you timeline
I have no idea why the designers only chose to move the cursor back to the middle - I would have thought either right back to the left hand end - or at least near to it
Have you experimented with the cursor controls immediately under the preview window they will allow you to move the cursor to either end - or back and forth one frame without using the mouse
