Can't open Corel Video Studio Pro 7

I am trying to start the program, Corel Video Studio Pro x7 or CorelScreen Capture x7, they don't start, neither of them.
I were using both for a while, but suddenly i can't start them. I see no error, nothing at all. I keep clicking on them, and for a moment it looks as if they will be loading, but then the rotating circle disappears, and that's it... Nothing happens.
I rebooted computers many time, doesn't help.
I cannot restore the system's settings
1) because I am not a techie
2) because I wouldn't even know what date to restore it back to

I am using PC, Windows 7, Dell.

What to do?

Win 7 hotfix is not a Corel porduct, correct?
And it requires purchasing it, correct?

If so, what is Corel solution for it? Or solution within my existing system?

Ok, now another problem presented iteself.
The program opens, that's good.
But now as I am trying to add MP4 files to the library, it says file format mismatch. Not clear, why?
