When I try to share to my Google+ account, I get an error message that states "failed to access social network device". I figured it was something to do with assigning my Google+ account info to PSP8 but I found no means of entering the details, nor does the manual say anything. However, Facebook does work (but I don't want to use it at this time).
How do I fix this?
PSP8 won't share to Google+

Re: PSP8 won't share to Google+
I'd never used this option before myself but thought I would take a look.
When I click on the Google Plus icon in PSPX8 it automatically opens a dialog asking me to log in, or in my case select which of the two accounts I was already logged into. Once I selected my account it asked me to verify the permissions PSP was requesting. Once all of that was verified it gave me a list of all of my albums and let me upload the image I had selected.
I then went into Google and revoked the permissions. I went back into PSP and it gave me the same error you mentioned. Seems as if Corel didn't anticipate losing permissions and having to get a new login. Of course I'm only guessing.
Do you know if the google+ feature had been used by someone else previously or did you have it working previously?
Obviously if this isn't what happened to you than me solution may not work. I had to go into the Registry and delete the cryptographic key for Google so PSP wasn't still looking for it. And of course the necessary warning, that screwing around in the registry is usually a bad idea.
This key is found under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> SOFTWARE -. Corel -> PaintShop Pro -> X8 -> CmdPhotoSharing -> SocialSharing -> GeneralSettings
You should see a key for Google Crypto or similar to that. Just delete that key and PSP should ask you for your credentials.

Re: PSP8 won't share to Google+
Your registry key trick did it, thanks.
I seem to recall the dialog box from Google previously and I think that I started the process and then backed out, that may have messed things up in PSP.
Thanks again
