HI all
I want to show an old 4x3 mpeg video on a letterbox TV screen. When I play the DVD it looks as though my wife has put on a lot of weight!!
(Stretched sideways - I'm in trouble!!). What is the best way to set up a 4x3 video to make a 9x6 DVD? I'm sure Lata had this on his web page a few years back as a tutorial but could not see it on his web page.
All help appreciated, thanks.
BTW I saw the post about people getting offers to upgrade old versions of VS at 85% off X9. I am running X7 and tried my old copy of VS x4 and got the offer for an upgrade to X9 at NZ$22. What a deal!!
What is best way to show 4x3 video fot 9x6 TV?

The best way is to put it as overlay at 4:3 and placing some kind of a darker background on main track
Panasonic X900m, VXF1

Hi Alan
A little old now but maybe this is what you saw
http://lata.me.uk/video_studio/16_9/16_9.htm
It depends on whether you wish to resize the 4:3 to fit 16:9, you will lose details top and bottom.
Or simply add a 4:3 to a 16:9 would have borders left and right.
I assume you have now purchased X9?

Thanks Asik1 and lata for your replies.
Yes lata that was the tutorial I remember, thanks for the link. Yes I did purchase X9, I feel as if I got it through the back door, but ease my conscious with the fact I have stuck with VS from version 6.5 which came free when I bought my first video camera.
Again many thanks to you both.
