Can you make a few video clips available to download, you would have to upload to a sharing site, Microsoft One Drive, Google Drive work well.
I am quite willing to give them a go on my pc, although I run windows 7, it may be a windows 10 issue.
Are you having any other issues in using the libraries samples, any errors or re-link requests?
I had a lot of problems with a new Lenovo laptop, turned out to be the graphics driver needed an update, as I said a brand new PC, you would not expect that.
I guess I am asking that you check the manufacturers web site for any updates.
In the past two days, I have been using the old X4 on my old computer (windows 7) with the same clips and I don't have any problems whatsoever. Are you saying X9 will work with Windows 7? The last time I talked to Corel they told me they had a lot of issues with Windows 7 and that I would need to download a lot of hot fixes. At that point, I was going to buy a new computer that ran windows 10 so I didn't pay much attention to what they're referring to.
The sample videos are mostly wmv and mp4 while my clips are 100% mts. I tried them anyway, put enough short clips together to make a video just one minute long. I even added a sound track to it. Things were all well until I saved and reopened the file. It played up to 47 seconds then the dreadful "Corel VideoStudio has stopped working" window popped up and death became it.
The new laptop is a Dell. I will go on their website to see if there's any updates available.
Since I can use x4 with windows 7, do you still want me to upload a few of my clips for you to try? I think I have some space in Google that I can use.
