Relax -- the Corel Copyright Police will not be paying you a midnight visit! The PSP EULA allows up to 3 installations, though you are only supposed to run one copy at a time. It's the Video Studio EULA which restricts installations to one, but I won't be naughty and confess anything else about that...brucet wrote:FWIW I have installed PSPx8 on 3 computers, yes Corel I'm naughty

Re: PSP X8 install: Hangs at "Please wait...NET Framework 4"
I'm still struggling with this — incredibly, it's been over a week now. Also I appear to be the only individual on the entire planet
who has received this error, because there are literally no results either in Google or in these forums that refer to an installation error code of 42. All results I get are (a) this thread, and (b) myriad unrelated results that have the number "42" appearing somewhere and meaning anything, like " Fri, Sep 16 2011 15:42" (really helpful
). To recap it crashes with the message below soon as it hits "Please wait while we configure Microsoft .NET Framework 4 …” near the beginning of the installation, and I've gone so far as to reinstall .NET Framework completely (to no avail), to roll it back to v4.5 from v4.6.2, just in case (to no avail), and to do a general cleanup of the OS with Tweaking.com's Windows Repair All-in-One, which had proven to be helpful in the past with other mega-frustrating issues like this one, but again, to no avail. The apparent complete lack of support of any kind for this error specifically and, I have to say, PSP installation error codes in general, is hard to believe.
