And of course, not knowing what it's called, google hasn't been of any help either.
I got (now a fairly old version) X3... and somehow, the item that's in constant use, has diappeared after a computer restart, and didn't reappear after reloading the workspace I normally use.
I'll try to explain what I want back:
When having several images open at the same time, the one I was on, would show in full screen, but above that image was a bar (kind of like a URL tab on firefox, I can easily switch between tabs) - which would show the name on the image I was currently working on, what size it was showing as (like "23%")... and next to that was the info of the next image, which I could easily click, and thus opening that image as big instead (but still showing all the info of all open images on the top).
To the right was a "X", where I could chose to close the particular image I was one.
Now I got some horrendous mess - where either things have to be in small tabs (with blue line around), or if I chose to enlarge to fit the screen, I can NOT swap between the different images - as the bar that used to be there is gone.
As the missing bar has been there for as long as I remeber (I might once upon a time have chosen to put it there... but that's years ago) - and currently PSP is basically useless to me.
I've tried looking, and testing all the various options I could think of and find... but no luck... and as I got no idea what it's called, I'm pretty much left helpless.
I would really appreciate any help! Even if someone just knows what I'm talking about, what it's called, it might be just the thing I need to be able to find a solution to my problem.
Thank you for listening to my ramblings.

EDIT: Found what it's called!!! "Tabbed documents"
However, I still don't know how to enable it.
