X8 pro will not start

I have been running X8Pro for a while on my machine but now it refuses to start.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit with the latest windows updates. I have tried reinstalling and rebooting but still does not start. I installed Service Pac3 and rebooted and still will not start. What is keeping this from starting now?

Some confusion

It points to a list of patches and updates.
I have already installed the X8 service pac 3
The next thing is a hotfix for X8.5. I do not have 8.5 but 8.0. When I go to the free update to 8.5 it takes me to service pac 1 for X9.
Do I need to update to 8.5 to use the hotfix for this problem and if so where is it?

Tried that. Get the error "The installed version of the application could not be determined. The setup will now terminate."
AS I said I have version 8.0 not 8.5

But what version number is shown under Help > About in X8? If it is 18.5.X.X it is already X8.5... The fully updated and patched version number is 18.6.0.6.

I can not do that if I can not open it.

I uninstalled X8 then reinstalled. Next I did the 8.5 update. It will not let me do the hotfix as I get the same error message.

Bingo. Was trying to install the wrong hotfix. When I did the hotfix2 it is now working. Thanks!!!
