I'm new to AfterShot 2, and am coming from Lightroom 4 (after Aperture, after iPhoto lol). I can't seem to figure out how to see ALL thumbnails of imported photos in my catalog.
My flow so far:
1-Create new catalog
2-Import photos
3-Select folder to import from
4-Choose recursive option
The import runs, all thumbnails are generated (according to progress bar in bottom left), and when done...no thumbnails, even when Thumbnail view is the current view.
I can see on the left that I can browse from Aftershot Catalog (cylinders icon to its left) to local C drive, to folders, and then subfolders. I can see the thumbnails in the deepest subfolder, but nothing parent. Shouldn't I see ALL thumbnails when the parent Catalog icon is selected?
When I browse these folders in Windows File Explorer, the .xmp metadata files have been generated. The catalog folder contains: assets folder, aftershot, lock, base, meta, settings and thumbs files. So the dataset looks complete?
I'm stumped. Have I missed a step?

Re: Can't see thumbnails of catalog after import
Fwiw, I find the entire catalog system the most confusing, ill thought out, over engineered collection management implementation I've ever seen.
