With my latest project I have found that if a drop a sound clip of a certain duration onto the timeline, the resultant clip is much shorter than the source clip. I have just created a test clip: about 1min 7 secs duration. One bird call at the start, another in the middle, & a third at the end, silence in between. When I drop it into my project, the duration is now just over 15secs!! I then play the clip. I have the first call & half the second, but no the third. The sound doesn't match the graphic display, which doesn't show the second (or third) bird calls. If I drop in an 11sec clip, it's 11secs on the timeline. The problem just seems to be with longer clips.
I assume I'm doing something stupid again! Have I missed something in the Preferences? Help please.

P.S. I tried a search first, but searching for "sound clip duration" gave me 174 hits, & only picked out the individual words, not the phrase.

Re: Sound clip duration
I seem to have found an answer? I've just resaved a clip that was being difficult. It had been saved as variable bitrate, so I tried constant bitrate. Result! What had been a 10 sec clip that loaded as 5 secs now loads as 10 secs.
I'll now go through & resave everything as constant bitrate.
