Bonus Content

Hi all
I'm having a problem with VS8 I have just reinstalled my PC after installing VS8 and all the updates I'm having a problem with the Bonus Content.

To get this i opened the "Get more content" downloaded the "bonus content" but all i get is a error message
Any advice would be very helpful

Hi Pete

Can you check here to see if the Bonus Folder exists.
C:\Users\User name\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\Bonus Content

If yes then its installed, to use -- the clips have to be imported to VS library, I would create new library pages for these clips.

Your Do More download panel seems to be the older server version, Corel did update the server, the Bonus Content link is now called “Free samples”, at least that’s what I see.

Try Checking for updates, or reset your Internet Explorer browser?
Maybe that will refresh the downloads.

Thanks for the reply.
I have no Bonus Content folder, ever time I close VS I get a install box come up and go through the process again, and again.
I have checked for updates (on the get more content The two cogs in the corner) and am told no updates are available!
I have downloaded from here http://www.videostudiopro.com/en/suppor ... sion-tab=1 and applied the updates and fixes, but still have the problem.

Eventually the server should update and provide the correct content?

Ok try this

First go to ………..
C:\ProgramData\Corel\Downloads
Search for VS_Bonus.exe
The faulty file is 53,726 Kb.
Delete the folder containing that file, you may have multiple copies. Delete all.

Now
Can you download this file, 54,202 Kb, it should be the correct Bonus file.
Run the file should install ok.

I had deleted the downloaded bonus file, went back into the get more content and the bonus content download button has gone!
I downloaded the file you supplied and that worked fine.
