Re: videostudio x9 rendered video audio
Welcome to the forums! But I'm afraid you are shouting in the dark!!! You have told us nothing about the video in question. Where did it come from? What is the format? What editing have you done to it? What format are your trying to produce?
At the very least, please right click on a clip in the VS timeline and copy ALL its Properties here, or take a screen grab of the Properties box and upload it here as an attachment. At leas then we might have a way to start diagnosing your problem...

Re: videostudio x9 rendered video audio
Hi, thanks for taking the time to reply. There are several videos in quicktime format( .MOV) and some in pal HDMV, a .wav audio recording and an mp3 track. editing done to the videos is a one layer of fx. I am trying to render in MPEG-4 for upload to youtube. the files in quicktime format were taken using a canon 60d and pal HDMV were taken using a sony rx100 iii. I tried to render without the mp3 and still getting the random skipping/glitch in the audio every so often. in video type one is H.264 and the other is H.264, upper field first. If there is more you need to know just let me know.

Re: videostudio x9 rendered video audio glitches
Are the Canon 60d mov's 30/60 fps or 25/50 as your sony's mp4's?

the canaon is 30/60 fps. I have used both in the past in other projects but this is the first time i'm getting this sort of issue. I've been thinking about all things I did during the editing process, would editing a smart package from a different computer cause this to happen?

Re: videostudio x9 rendered video audio glitches
Hi
I think it may be the frame rates causing the problem.
Are you using a mix of video clips using different frame rates?
Your project properties should match the video files properties, where possible, if not then at least the frame rate should match.
You say you are using “Pal HDMV” I assume that is using 25fps interlaced.
If you live in a pal country, UK or maybe AU why is the Canon 60D recording to 30/60 fps, that is NTSC standards.
CVSX9 will prompt you to match the project properties for the first video added to the timeline, now that may be Pal or NTSC depending on which file you added first.
When you render to mpeg4 again the frame rate should match, clearly if you have a mix then this may not be possible, so the longest video’s frame rate is probably the best option.
Can you give more details of each videos properties, and also details of the project properties?
Ken asked in his reply “At the very least, please right click on a clip in the VS timeline and copy ALL its Properties here, or take a screen grab of the Properties box and upload it here as an attachment. At leas then we might have a way to start diagnosing your problem...”
Smart Package should not affect your projects quality.

Have you tried just to output as sound file? are the glitches on same spots?

Hi
Can you make sure you have the correct Audio Drivers installed for Windows 10?

Re: videostudio x9 rendered video audio glitches
I'm having a similar issue. I was using VSX8 and a Nikon SLR which captures in .mov format. Last project, it was fine.
On today's project, when I imported the clips, they were silent.
I found if I upgraded to VSX9 AND renamed the clips from .mov to .mp4 prior to import (found this in another forum), the audio was fine. (I've been using VS since it was ULEAD version 3 or 4)
So I edited the entire project which took about two hours (pretty simple project but there are Spanish subtitles which are tedious to time out)
When I rendered out to .mp4, there were occasional studders -- like a word got repeated. This is not present when previewing.
I'm also using Windows 10, so I copied everything to a Windows 7 box, same condition.
I tried outputting to various different formats, sometimes the studders were in same location, sometimes they moved around
I tried slight adjustments in moving audio tracks, eliminating ducking and fades...nothing worked. I have split audio at a couple points but it didn't matter if it was part of the video or not.
Finally I applied various Audio Filters and I think "normalize" will get me to where it will be acceptable, but I'm still playing with it.
