It's all put away again now sadly.

The issue I see are Key bleed through on coach roofs, and left side of signal post.
Flicker mid left where photo ends and retaining wall of railway board meet. (prob not lit properly)
If you watch the brake van on the end of the freight it's front becomes transparent just as it passes out of shot right.
Odd wobble, is this the camera focusing?

I was wondering about putting both soft boxes left and right of the subject pointing down and lighting the sheet with the LED light?
Probably the colour of the brake van and some of the wagons is too close to the orange you used for chroma key - this is when tiny detail becomes important. The programme cannot sort out what to switch and what not to switch.
I thought the final result was a triumph considering the kit we are using is worlds apart from the professional stuff available to the big studios. Congratulations.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Well that is certainly a nice compliment and makes me feel like working harder to get this right!
I agree it is close to being ready for production but I need to understand more about all this, which is why yourself and fellow members are so important!

Cheers

Good evening everyone.

What a journey this simple sounding concept has taken me on!

I purchased two new CFL soft boxes from Amazon, they use four switchable 150 watt CFLs.

These have been set up opposite the subject area and lifted to ceiling height and angled down to cover the layout and orange screen.
I am also using a barn door LED box light set on 2 out of 8 in power for the rim light and to add detail and colour to the signal.
Camera is set on F7.1 and speed of 200 (twice my normal shooting rate) ISO 4000.
This arrangement gives me about 2 stops + with no model in view and spot on +/- 0 with the loco.

I wanted to share my latest test effort with you for any comments you may have?

I am almost happy now :) however you will observe two of the red wagons are attacked by the key, must be too close to orange and there is a slight halo around the loco and on the roof of some wagons.
But this is I feel as close as I have been.
