The orange screen was so impressive - well done.
Wonder why the green did not work.

Green just removed most of the green on the trains, I was surprised!

Re: adding a photo backdrop to videos
Thanks Brian, it is better for sure but there are some distortions I don't like and the yellow has become lime green.
I have ordered a bring orange sheet and will set up and light the sheet from above with my 50watt LED flood and the trains from either side with my LED photo floods.
Will be later in the week if all goes to plan.

Re: adding a photo backdrop to videos
Hi Mike
Looking good.
I noticed you used the FX Chrome filter, we did say there were other Chroma Key options, Brian shows an image here,
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 15#p323840
with details of how to access the panel in my reply.
This panel has Similarity options removing less orange may help with the Yellow fading. Worth a try

Re: adding a photo backdrop to videos
Hi, yes saw that and tried it, in fact unless I activate it there the new blue FX does not seem to work, I found I could tune (if that's the right word) new blue FX one more finely giving better results.
Cheers
Mike

Re: adding a photo backdrop to videos
Green trains on a greenscreen background? Glad it is now sorted with the orange background. Chroma key has never been easy at this level, even the TV lot get it wrong sometimes. The conditions have to be pre-planned so carefully.MikesMovies wrote:Green just removed most of the green on the trains, I was surprised!
Come and visit my area, we have lots of little trains running in beautiful scenery, even one that goes up a mountain and a couple that go inside mountains.
Seriously the latest YT video is very good, even to the background showing through the carriage windows, the whole effect was incredibly realistic.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Re: adding a photo backdrop to videos
I have not read what video format you are using. Capturing video with more color depth should improve your project.

Re: adding a photo backdrop to videos
I think your best bet then is to light up the captured scene well so that orange color is uniform with as pure of an orange as possible.
