Hi vairgin

Please do not duplicate your posts this only causes confusions, I will delete your other post.

The windows issue occurred mid February, has the program been working ok since then. At least before yesterday.

What have you changed in your editing, maybe a different video file.
Give more details of your project, the type of files used.

What error messages do you get, if any?

Are you applying any specific filters to any of the video clips when the freezes occur? Are you adding background audio -- if so, in what format? Any other editing applied when the freezes occur?

In layout use video in MP4 format.
Freeze-up issues always appear after a certain time, after a few minutes, on the same computer and on another computer. Both computers have Windows 10.
The problem as I understand is due to the fact that the freeze appears after a certain time, after a couple minutes of work.

Where does the mp4 come from? Can you also please right click on one of the mp4 clips in the Video Studio timeline, and copy ALL its Properties here or take a screen grab of the Properties box and upload it here as an attachment. I am asking for this information since an increasing number of devices, especially smartphones, are making mp4 clips using variable frame rates instead of the "normal" 25/30 or 50/60 fps. Video Studio usually has problems with these, as it does with unusual frame sizes.

Hi

Those properties look a little unusual, non standard with a frame size of 1280 x 544 I am not sure if that’s 16:9 or 4:3

Anyway the program did have some issues with Mov and MP4, Corel did provide several fixes by replacing a Dll file.
This is the latest we received, I had thought it was incorporated in SP1.

Go to
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X7
Rename the ulmp4lib.dll. file to ulmp4lib-old.dll
Paste the new ulmp4lib.dll file
If things get worse you can always revert to using the old version

https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=6 ... lder%2czip

if the above does not help you may be best in converting the files to a more editable format, Format Factory is a video converter, free and good to use, just take care not to install those extras that free programs seem to do, just install Format Factory.
