The left tool panel (file browser) has disappeared permanently after I closed it while it was in float mode. Using the toggle left tools panel function does not work on floating panels and there is no menu option to reopen it. The "float/dock left tools panel" menu functions are of no help and I could not locate a menu option to reset the workspace layout.
Digging deeper, I deleted the ASP Settings folder and associated app cache files on Mac. I also tried the "reset default files" button in preferences. None of these made a difference to the workspace layout to bring the file browser back.
The software is defective by design. How can I get the left tools panel back?
