custom share output

Post by mroesch »

Hey guys, I'm having trouble finding a way to render a file to these custom settings:

WMV
1280x800
30fps

Is this possible? I've looked though all the menu options, and none of them seem to allow me to set it to 1280x800 EXCEPT the screen capture option, which locks it at 15fps, which is not good for what I am doing.

Any help you could offer would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Since that is a non-standard (and disappearing) format, you might have to go to a 3rd part converter such a Freemake Video Convertor. I just tested it with a HD video I have and it works perfectly to create 1280x800, 29.97 fps video

BTW, why do you need that format? It seems to be mainly used by "projectors".

My output is intended for projection (you called it) in a theatrical production, so in order to easily line up elements with the set (and save a lot of headaches) it helps to have the source match the output.

Thanks, I'll look into that converter. Does it have that exact functionality as part of the free software? Or do you have to pay to get that?

It is free software, just be sure you don't install some of the extras it wants to install.

Hi mroesch ,
I made these 2 profiles for you, unzip and place them in .....\Corel VideoStudio X9\Ulead.dat\WMV_Profiles folder
one is CBR based and the other is VBR, audio is set to 44K.
When you'll open VS you will have those profiles, check which is best for you.
(you can edit few parameters in notepad if you need to)
