Video Studio X7 Doesn't Boot-up

Video Studio X7 Doesn't Boot-up
Last time I used my computer a few weeks ago X7 was working okay, but today I started my computer and X7 refuses to boot. I double click on the program's icon but nothing happens. It doesn't crash or anything. All I get is my pointed turns to the twirling circle for a few seconds then nothing! Anyone know what could be wrong?

Microsoft carried out an update to Windows 7 about a month ago which knocked out Videostudio on hundreds of computers worldwide
Corel have issued a hotfix to solve the problem
