VS X9 trial - Unable to render MP4

Post by RalphShnelvar »

I have a 30-second clip in asf format. I have split off its audio and then attempted to export to MP4.

X9 opens a zero-length mp4 file and then immediately returns while keeping the file open. It generates no error message.

It appears it can generate an AVI file with low resolution.

This is the second nasty bug I have run into in as many hours. Argh!

The trial is a seriously crippled version of Videostudio and there are several things it cannot do - one of which is to output an mp4 file

all I can promise you is that the full version has no problem at all outputting an mp4 file

I just wanted to add that I too have this issue with the trial version of X9, but only after the installation of Service Pack 1... I was able to to render to MP4 fine before that. I tested by uninstalling and reinstalling the trial version without the Service Pack, and sure enough, that was it. Glad to hear it's not an issue with the full version - just wish the support rep. who I was in contact with had mentioned that instead of indicating that it was probably a problem with my video card... :?
