I have Corel VideoStudio X8 Ultimate 18.6.0.6 x64 installed on a Machine with Win 7 x64 and a Nvidia Quadro k4200 graphic card.
But the "path" function which is under Edit tab is not accessible, it shows something like "the graphic card doesn't support it"

Can you check the Nvidia web site to make sure you are using the most upto date drivers.
Windows Optional Updates may also locate new drivers.

I have the latest drive installed.
The MB. has on-board video card, may X8 only recognize it instead of Quadro 4200?
