Hello and thanks for reading my post. I downloaded VideoStudio Pro X8 earlier last year. It worked great "until today" when I tried to run it. When I click on the main program ICON, the little mouse swirley goes around a few times, then nothing. The program doesn't load. In an attempt to figure out what was happening, I had a look at the Windoze Event Viewer Application Log. Here's what it says:

Unfortunately, I have no idea what all that JuJu means. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it again. Unfortunately, same thing. If anyone might have a suggestion as to how to resolve this problem, I'd certainly appreciate your help!

Re: VideoStudio Pro X8 Application Error on Win7
The problem has been caused by an update to Windows 7 by Microsoft - hundreds of people have been affected
if you want chapter and verse please read this topic - - - http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=58668
or/then install the hotfix which Corel has provided which is available here - http://www.videostudiopro.com/en/suppor ... sion-tab=1

Re: VideoStudio Pro X8 Application Error on Win7
There is a hotfix for X7 too.
Any ideas what to do with Version X6?
Unfortunately there is no hotfix for X6 - I got the same error though

With X6 you have 3 options
1) - Delete the offending updates and do not let them re-install by hiding them
2) - take the free update to Windows 10
3) - Upgrade to Videostudio X9

Re: VideoStudio Pro X8 Application Error on Win7
This options are all very disappointing...
If there is no proper way I would consider the first option - however I have no idea on how to find out what specific update it was...
Any hints?
