Hi
X9 is a little different to earlier versions.
Lets add 5 clips to the timeline, images will do.
Start selecting clips 1St , 2nd etc… the curser shows on the first frame of the selected clip, that’s normal.
Select the 5th, then 4th, 3rd 2nd etc. the curser remains on the last frame.
Now using X8 the curser always shows on the first frame not the last.
And that’s the difference when cutting and deleting the first part of the clip, the curser is out of position, but in position using X8.
Hitting the Home button to move the curser to frame one then deleting the clip would help.

Re: Corel Video Studio x9 The problem of shift of the cursor
To me it is not a big problem if the cursor remains at the split point on the timeline but I don't think it is logical either. Suppose you have a single 4 min clip on the timeline and you want to remove the 1st 3 minutes. Set the cursor at the 3 min mark, do the split and delete the left segment. The cursor stays at the 3 min mark even though now there is no video under the cursor. It can't be very difficult to program the cursor to "jump" to the beginning of the remaining segment.
But as I said it is really not a big deal

X8 jumps to the beginning of the segment

Re: Corel Video Studio x9 The problem of shift of the cursor
I still have problem with my X9, but there where many situations in X7 or X8 where the scrubber jump to clip start, and most of the times I find it very annoying as I don't need/want it there. At least we could have a settings for its behavior.
