Clip/Still automatic linkage
I am not getting automatic clip linkage like I used to. I think this was a problem latterly with VS 8.5, but today I found the same issue with VS 9. What happened to me was that my video disk crashed and I have reorganized my projects since. As expected, VS can't find the clips and stills etc. So I relink one clip, but other clips or stills in the same folder are not automatically relinked. Manually relinking every clip/still in a project gets old fast. Am I doing something wrong? Have I missed setting an option? Is there a trick to this? Seemed to work fine and efficiently before for me. Help appreciated.
Re: Clip/Still automatic linkage
try re linking one of them close the project file out and re open. that has always worked for me in the past.

Re: Clip/Still automatic linkage
Did not work for me. Tried closing project and closing VS. Neither did anything. I see that Smart Search is checked. I guess it ain't so smart anymore.

Re: Clip/Still automatic linkage
hi Mike
my fix is the same as Grahams, restart the project, then link to the clip being shown on the re-link window.
make sure the name of the clips are exactly the same, if for some reason the images have been re-named then you will have to re-link each clip.
it should do automatically, there must be a reason why not?

Re: Clip/Still automatic linkage
Installed VS 9 Service Pack 1 today and files now link. Have not tested other issues yet.

Re: Clip/Still automatic linkage
Hi Mike
Have you purchased the Boxed / Disc version
Go to Help – About what is the version number?
The SP1 only installs on the disc version.
But interested to know if re-link issues are fixed with that service pack.
The service pack will not install for the download version.
