Program Compatibility Assistant and X9

Post by tletter »

X9 on Win 7 Pro bombed with the following event details:

Faulting application name: vstudio.exe, version: 19.1.0.14, time stamp: 0x56c4bdf4
Faulting module name: mfc110.dll, version: 11.0.60610.1, time stamp: 0x51b4fccb
Exception code: 0xc000041d
Fault offset: 0x0000000000205729
Faulting process id: 0x2464
Faulting application start time: 0x01d1748e73e49f92
Faulting application path: c:\Program Files\Corel PaintShop Pro X9 (64-bit)\Corel VideoStudio X9\vstudio.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\mfc110.dll
Report Id: f793b482-e08d-11e5-8eb5-84a6c8b378d2

After terminating X9, the Program Compatibility Assistant (see image) popped up stating that Windows has applied compatibility settings to this program. The "What settings are applied" link only provides generic information. Does anyone know how to find out what compatibility settings are applied to X9?

Thanks.

Hi

I don’t think that has been reported before so I would assume it maybe your PC.
Are all windows updates installed, if so then you would have installed the Service Pack 1 given that the serial number indicates 19.1.0.14

I don’t know how to find details of what settings are applied, maybe others on the forum can help?

I assume the program is now running?

No as I've had to hide Kb3126587 and kb3126593 to have X5 and X6 work on Win 7 Pro.

Yes it seems to run fine. Too bad VS does have an error log to help understand why the program crashed.

Thanks Trevor.
