Was using VS X5 PRO - using camcorder footage HD quality AVCHD 1080p ( although i do usually use Standard definition as well to save space on SD card ), my question is...whilst editing it really becomes a nightmare/hassle editing as footage becomes so choppy whilst editing - really is annoying to use )
Any solution? my pc is old i suppose, 4yrs, but it isnt ancient, 8 memory / 64bit / windows 7 ( although have just updated to windows10...work any better? )
Appreciate any advice. Not a lot i can do i suspect..just make best of it.
I'm aware when i view the footage it wont be the best quality ( burns ok ) but as im editing the footage ive downloaded in ( espicially as i progress with the video / and have added more and more swipes etc )..just impossible to view as i go along - really is the adding effects/swipes etc which seem to slow it all down.
thanks

Re: choppy footage when editing
Only idea is to use proxy files and make project properties the same as the clips you have.
