VS X5 pro - will it work ok with Windows 10

I know..i know..yawn....but I've just lost! a lot of work due to a patch on windows 7.

I emailed Corel, hoping for an upgrade to a later version of videostudio ( although happy(ish) with VS 5 ( HD footage is very! choppy whilst editing..annoying..but workable ). There upgrade price of £44..is sadly still too high for me!

So -all im asking is....I have just moved to windows 10. I will re-install VS X5PRO....any reason why this will suddenly stop working..and if so...can i somehow SAVE my edited work in progress..so i can at least never fall victim to losing my work as i did due to recent update patch.

Worth me availing to x7..or x8...cheaper? more likely to work with windows10 ok?

Again sorry for the ho-hum question, pretty peeved re losing my edited work i spent 3 weeks to do.

As you know x5 is about 5 years old and I don't have it installed. You wI'll end up the expert doing x5 in Windows 10 and I hope you come back here to share your findings.
