VideoStudio X9 Crashes on New Computer
I just got a new Dell Inspiron 17 5000 series which has Windows 10 on it. I installed VideoStudio X3 on it which is what I used on my old laptop. X3 kept crashing on my new computer whenever I tried to edit MTS files so I decided to upgrade to X9 to see if a newer version would solve the problem. Unfortunately I'm having the same issues. It will work for 1-2 minutes while editing an MTS file and then crash.

Hi
Are you using the trial version or the purchased version.
The trial is limited in its functionality but should cope with MTS video, although I doubt if you can render to MTS?
Right click a clip on the timeline and choose properties, what are they?
Create a snapshot (Jpeg) of that panel to attach to your post
What camera was used to record the video?

Re: VideoStudio X9 Crashes on New Computer
Hi ekauff86
Those properties look very much bog standard for AVCHD
When you add a clip to the timeline of a new project, you receive a message to match the properties, please select yes, does that help.
Can you provide a sample by uploading to a sharing site, Microsoft One Drive or Google Drive, dropbox etc.
Then we can try on our pc’s.
Your X9 program, is it the download version or Box / Disc version?
Can you also contact Corel Support regarding the problems with X9, obviously you should have free support at the moment.

Re: VideoStudio X9 Crashes on New Computer
I selected "yes" to match the properties and didn't have any issues in the 20 minutes that I played around with it so hopefully that solves things. My X9 program is a download version and I did install X9 on my old computer to test it out and didn't have any issues. Anyway it does appear to be working on my new computer for now. Thanks for your help!
