Unable to update PSP X8 to SP1

Unable to update PSP X8 to SP1
I can't update Paint Shop Pro X8 to service pack 1. I get a message saying that currently there is no need to upgrade the program, but each time the program itself proposes the upgrade. My version is 18.0.0.120. I tried using different O.S. (windows 10 and Seven) without success, and I don't find any installation log to analyze the problem. Has anyone had the same problem and found a solution?

Re: Unable to update PSP X8 to SP1
I think the available version of PSP X8 is now PSP X8.1 (with the SP1 inside).
So, if you uninstall X8 (see on top of this forum), load the actual version and put your key code, it will work with SP1 installed.

Re: Unable to update PSP X8 to SP1
Hi Marco
Please don't use the trial version.
In order to solve your problem try this:
1. Open PSPX8 and in Help - About, have a look what your real version is
Assuming it's 18.0
2. Go to C:\ProgramData\Corel\Downloads
ProgramData is a hidden folder and you can enable "Show hidden files and folders" in Control Panel - Folder options - View tab.
3. There is a folder in Downloads with numbers. Open this folder and there is another folder with numbers. Open this one too.
4. The patch is called "PaintShopProX8_SP1.exe"
Run that file and it should update.
If it still doesn't work, then contact our support team, please.

Re: Unable to update PSP X8 to SP1
Hi Simone,
as I mentioned in the previous message, my version is 18.0.0.120.
I already tried to download the patch from the Corel site , but the result was the same.
The software is not a trial version, it was bundled with a Wacom Tablet and i own a serial number: are those versions limited in some way?
I obviously contacted the Corel support, they opened a ticket (case number 02539717) but i haven't received any response: probably they don't offer free support for bundled sofware.

Re: Unable to update PSP X8 to SP1
Hi Simone, I have exactly the same problem as marco. I also received Paintshop X8 bundled with a Wacom Intuos Tablet and own a valid License number.
I have Version 18.0.0.120 installed (both 32 and 64 bit) on Windows 7 Ultimate (x64). No mather what I do, I cannot update to SP1 or SP2. I alredy tried your suggestion to install the update from the C:\ProgramData\Corel\Downloads
Also this did not help at all. I cannot install either SP1 nor SP2 to Paintshop X8. Is there a way of update it. I would really appreciate any help with this.
Thank you

@nlsn
No problem. Please be patient and wait until I'm back to the office on Monday, May 22. I will then send you a link for the updated version. If you could send me your ticket number or e-mail address in a private message until then, would make it easier.

thank you. I cannot compose a private message. The pm function is not available (We are sorry, but you are not authorised to use this feature. You may have just registered here and may need to participate more to be able to use this feature.). But I set my board profile that users and admins can contact me by email. I do not have a ticket number but for verification I could give you my license number via email.
