Until I get my new computer I am stuck with VideoStudio X6, I have been doing interval shots with my DSLR for the sole purpose of assembling them into a time lapse video. Because of the nature of this activity, lighting changes from frame to frame, thereby the camera will make exposure changes.
As a result of this I end up with flicker (some frames not exposed the same) and trust me they stand out like a sore thumb. I tried using auto level and auto exposure effects in VS on the videos but still have some noticeable flicker. Is there a plug in or other approach to "just balance" the lighting so changes aren't so noticeable?

Re: DeFlicker
Nothing stands out to me like a sore thumb either. In fact, I found it all rather uniform. The (to me) very slight changes in exposure are what I would expect in a time lapse video. The only other seeming exposure variation is in reality (to me) just the changing surface texture of the water -- but again that is what I would expect in time lapse video.

I grabbed the wrong one here is the pre FX version https://youtu.be/5ytMULyBltA
Maybe what I did worked after all, I don't have the capability yet to watch both side by side.

Re: DeFlicker
While it might be darker than the first one above, I still see nothing that stands out as being at all bad. Again, quite the reverse. Certainly the first one, with FX obviously applied to brighten it up, looks better. But in this second one while the first two thirds might be a bit dark in the immediate foreground and background, the river seems to be quite consistent in exposure, and I rather liked the gradual brightening to the right of the video which appeared as though the sun were rising or coming out from behind a cloud. But as with the first video, the only marked variations I could see were the surface of the water, which is only to be expected from a flowing river...

Re: DeFlicker
The sun was rising, that was my intent, I wanted to capture the sun popping over a hill. Although the water was flowing most of the texture was caused by the wind. I plan on going out and finding a different location as the sun sets this evening, but of course that would take motivation, and since it is Sunday afternoon, I seem to be lacking in the area...Thanks for your replies

I just ran across this

I didn't watch it thru but maybe few techniques can be simulate in VS.
