Updating PE 3.0 problems-cant find product

I installed it on my d drive and the patch cannot find the ULEAD product. I have 2 ulead folders on that drive for some reason. The patch was downloaded to the C drive, and tried to put the patch on the D drive and it still can't find it. I left PE running and it found it then and said close the program before continuing, but when I closed it it can not find again. Any ideas?

Also the calander checker, is it really necessary to run in the tray? It seems to be acting weird.
