Hi Vasilis

sorry for delay in our reply.........

You do not give much details of your original video files.
I assume they are HD and you wish to burn a standard DVD, that would mean reducing the quality somewhat.
First go to Preferences (F6) – Edit Tab and set Resample Quality to Best.

OK as an example …..
My video files from a Panasonic camcorder use these settings

MPEG Transport-Stream Files
24 bits, 1920 x 1080, 50 fps
Frame-based
(HDMV-PAL), 16:9
H.264 Video
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 26000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 384 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 3/2(L,C,R,SL,SR)

I would use these Mpeg2 settings to burn a Standard DVD

MPEG files
24 bits, 720 x 576, 25 fps
Frame-based (set to match original)
(DVD-PAL), 16:9
Video data rate: 8000 kbps (data Rate for upto 70 minutes of video)
Audio data rate: 256 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)

If you provide the full properties of your original video file then we could advise on settings.
